Policies
Communication is Key
I strive to provide the highest level of care possible. To do this, it’s imperative that I’m made aware of any health, behavioral, or environmental concerns, before caring for your pet.
Should I have questions during the booking, I may need to reach out to you, so please ensure I have the best contact info for you.
If you’re going totally off-the-grid (lucky duck!), please provide a emergency contact. Ideally a neighbor or someone close-by.
Service Areas
Standard Service Area: Fremont, Wallingford, Ballard, Green Lake, Greenwood, and U District.
Parts of Upper Queen Anne and the Montlake-area are negotiable. Neighborhoods outside the Standard Service Area may incur a rate increase depending on distance.
Animals Covered
Standard: Cats, dogs, rabbits (free-roaming), small mammals such as guinea pigs and hamsters, freshwater and saltwater fish, indoor/caged-birds, and turtles.
For an additional fee: Sea jellies, axolotls, chickens, and horses.
Medications & Special Instructions
In most cases, I do not charge for giving your pet medication, a nebulizer treatment, or special instructions, as long as extra time is not needed. This will be determined beforehand so there will be no surprises.
For my own safety, I will not administer medication to any larger animal (>40lbs) who is overly-reluctant or known to bite.
Other “Included” Services
If I see you have a package delivered to your doorstep, I’ll bring it in. Please let me know if you’d like me to bring in your mail, or if a package is delivered out-of-sight.
I can also water your plants, adjust lights, and vaccuum up pet mess (fur, litter, etc.) upon request.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Drop-In and Dog Walk cancellations must be made at least 24-hours before the scheduled service for a full refund.
Overnight and Weekday House Sitting cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service for a full refund.
If a booking is canceled after that window, a 50% refund will be provided. Same-day cancellations may not be refunded expect for urgent situations.
Holiday & Peak-Season Rates
Effective: Easter Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, and the Week of Thanksgiving through New Years Day.
I book up very fast during holidays and during peak Summer times. If you know you’ll need pet care during those times, I recommend booking early so you have a spot and also pay standard rates.
Home Access
If there is anyone else who may be accessing your home while I’m there, please give me a heads up.
Report Cards
I will send you a report card after every visit or walk, or at least 1-2x/day if I’m housesitting.
Report cards include, at minimum, a detailed overview of how your pet was doing, what they did, and what care I provided for them. I also add plenty of photos.
Generally I will text or email the report to you but if you have a different preference, I’m happy to communicate accordingly.
