I’m the owner of Western Forest Pet Care.

I am a dedicated animal care specialist with many years of hands-on experience in supporting pets of all ages and needs. I'm able to provide enriching playtime, keep up with behavioral training, confidently administer medications, and deliver specialized care to each animal as an individual.

I specialize in felines and have a deep commitment to cat health and welfare, and am active in the TNVR community. I'm also a volunteer for a feline spay/neuter organization, where I assist with making sure cats wake up and recover safely (and warmly!) from their surgeries.

I work from home (WFH) as a Database Engineer, granting me a very flexible schedule, and I am slowly working towards gaining my Veterinary Technician degree. I hope to someday leave the tech industry behind and pursue a more fulfilling career! (Fun fact: I did two years of biochemistry and pre-med undergrad studies).

While I specialize in cats, I love animals of all kinds! I regularly petsit for cats, dogs, rabbits, and even sea jellies and an axolotl! I have experience training puppies, rehabilitating rescues, and have provided palliative care. I've been a dog walker throughout my life and have personally had three Saint Bernards and a Sheltie. Being from the rural Midwest, I've also watched farm/ranch dogs, horses, and chickens.

In my home, I have two rescued, geriatric black cats with special needs: Quark (kittenhood PTSD and separation anxiety) and Maddie (amputee with a mental processing impairment). I occasionally also foster cats. Both of my cats and myself keep up-to-date with vaccinations.
